How to Choose a Good contractor for a bathroom remodel.
So, you have followed the advice of experienced people, and you have gotten 3 estimates. But now it’s time to choose a good bath remodeler? So, how do you know which one will be best to hire?
Compare apples to apples.
Make sure that each bath remodeler is including the same elements in the estimate because that is key. You don’t want to compare one company’s price for just redoing your shower to another’s price on a complete bathroom renovation. So, ask plenty of questions in the process. It’s also a good idea to get things in writing (yes, text messages count) so the comparing process is easier.
Is the contractor licensed?
Lots of folks are able to do this kind of work, however in the state of Maryland, all bath remodelers are required to have a MHIC License number. So, if you received a contract for a bath remodel in Maryland that does not have an MHIC number, that company may be operating illegally.
What do the online reviews say about this company?
Just like buying anything else these days, we can get a better idea of the quality of a bath remodeler by looking online at reviews. So we post ours here on the website.
Cheapest doesn’t always mean it’s the best deal.
